A Note from Daniel

My name is Daniel. I started EmacityWears in high school as a school project, but at the time, I never thought much of it.

Years later, I went to school for Business Administration with a focus on Finance, then worked multiple jobs in retail under a few corporate companies, striving for that so-called “dream corporate position.”

Even then, I didn’t know my true desires or purpose in life — I just knew that this wasn’t the career path I wanted to follow.

Later, I had the opportunity to own a restaurant. It was an amazing experience, but also exhausting. After selling the restaurant due to burnout, I felt stuck again. That same restlessness returned — the same feeling that had always pushed me to create something of my own.

In November 2025, after years of working in retail and scaling a restaurant to seven figures, I told myself: “You have the potential to do something meaningful.” That self-talk brought me back to EmacityWears. I wanted to escape the 9-to-5 norm and create something that truly mattered.

The Meaning of Emacity

I reflected on why I had been drawn back to this brand and remembered the meaning of “Emacity” — the desire or fondness for buying things. But today, it means even more to me, and I hope it resonates with you as well.

We always shop for things we want, not necessarily what we need. Emacity is meant to be more than just impulse; it’s about finding pieces that define us. We are drawn to items because they reflect who we are.

Not every piece I create will resonate with everyone — and that’s okay. But if there’s one piece that catches your eye and makes you think, “That’s me,” then I’ve achieved what I set out to do.

I want to be authentic to myself, and I want that for you as well — to express your true self confidently and unapologetically.

To stay true to this vision, I decided not to follow the fast fashion model that so many bigger brands do. Instead, I partnered with a manufacturer that produces pieces on demand: you order it, we make it.
